Parts of the Plants We Eat! (A)

Bryce and Brigham know that seeds grow into yummy food! We had a great discussion about the different parts of the plant we like to eat. These food scientists chose three of their favorite garden foods to draw and label the parts of the plants they eat.

Brigham is showing his beautiful artwork!  He drew a map show which cakes were missing what ingredients.  For this activity Bryce and Brigham were able to become 'Food Scientists.'  They made five cakes: one cake was normal, one without sugar, one without egg, one without baking powder, and one without oil.  They tasted the cakes and realized how leaving out certain ingredients can make a pretty big difference!
